MIAMI TWP. - Tex-Mex restaurant chain Chuy’s announced this morning it will open its first Dayton-area location at Austin Landing on April 14, and will start today, Monday March 9, the hiring process to fill 170 positions.
The 7,460 square foot restaurant with a 2,150 square foot patio is located at 10445 Innovation Drive at Austin Landing Boulevard, near the entrance to the multi-use development in Miami Twp.
Chris Snyder, Miami Twp.’s planning and zoning director who oversees development in the township, said last July that Chuy’s “will bring a new flavor to Austin Landing’s offerings … . Hopefully, people will see that we are not just duplicating our region’s existing restaurants.”
The restaurant chain also has filed plans with the city of Beavercreek to open a second Dayton-area location in newly created restaurant space adjacent to the Mall at Fairfield Commons.
The Miami Twp. restaurant is hiring for a variety of full-time and part-time positions, including front-of-the-house hosts, servers, bussers, kitchen staff and bartenders. Interested applicants should apply at the hiring trailer at 10445 Innovation Dr., Miamisburg, Ohio 45342 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday by appointment. Austin-based Chuy’s, founded in 1982, operates a restaurant in Madeira near Cincinnati and is looking to expand across other regions in Ohio beyond Dayton and Cincinnati, according to a Chuy’s spokeswoman said.
Chuy’s is scheduled to open April 14 and will hire 170, a spokeswoman for the Tex-Mex chain announced this morning.
